School council and the school community are excited to be following one of the teachers’ journey to Mount Everest. Mr. Andrew Brash left on March 25th for a 70-day attempt to conquer the majestic mountain. In 2006 Mr. Brash almost reached the peak only to assist in the rescue of Lincoln Hall, a mountaineer from Australia. Mr. Brash’s expedition can be followed on his web site www.andrewbrash.com We encourage you to follow Mr. Brash on his dream.
This year school council initiated a school fundraiser to support the physical education department and the library. School Sport Packs are sold for $10.00. Please watch for notices and announcements for upcoming sale dates. We encourage all students to participate. Thank you to the senior basketball teams, and all other students who have thus far supported our fundraiser. Students who will be coming to Terry Fox in the fall watch for information so that you to can purchase a school sport pack.
Exam time is quickly approaching. Part one of the Language Arts exam will be on May 14th. Please check the web site for the dates of other exams. Remember the May long weekend, May 16-May 19(no classes).
School council would like to extend an invitation to all parents and guardians to attend our last meeting scheduled for May 8th at 7 pm in the library. Please plan to attend.
