Spring is in full swing in Coral Springs and summer is just around the corner. We are very anxious to continue with our community enhancement project of painting the fence along 68th Street starting on June 21, 2008. Residents in the effected area will be asked to repair their fences in preparation for the painting. Please give me a call if you would like to volunteer some of your time for a worthwhile project. It certainly has made a great difference to the look of our community. We can also look forward to some new trees being added throughout the green spaces. We have a busy summer in store so please keep watching our list of upcoming events and come out and get involved with your community.
As I go around the community lately, I am very concerned about a few things that I see.
First of all, there appears to be more and more houses with broken down fences, untidy yards,
cars on the lawns etc. These types of things bring down the value of the whole community and invites alot of unwanted things such as graffiti. If you have a neighbor or area resident who chooses not to take care of there property, please call 311 and a By-law Officer will come out and have the homeowner clean up their yard. This call is anonymous and very important in keeping our community looking good. It is every home owners responsibility to maintain a tidy property.
Also, it is very important that we all keep an eye out for potential drug houses in the community. We do not need or want this type of activity in our community and this is the responsibility of each and every one of us to look out for this and report it if it looks suspicious. Please take the time to read the article regarding Grow Ops online at
www.community-connection.ca for some helpful tips on spotting these houses.
We also need everyone to keep an eye out for
any graffiti artists that are placing their art throughout Coral Springs. If you happen to see anyone, please call the police right away as they now can be charged under the
new Bylaw. This problem continues to pop up in Coral Springs and if you happen to have any graffiti in your area, again please report it by calling 311 and they will take care of cleaning it up.
The Coral Springs
Community Association will do our best to maintain the quality of life in Coral Springs but we need the help of all of our residents if we are going to keep our community beautiful.
