The Coral Springs Community Association held their Annual General Meeting on March 6, 2008 to elect the board for the upcoming year. I am honored to be your president again for the year ahead and I look forward to serving the community.
First of all, I would like to say thank you to everyone who came out to attend the meeting. It was a great turnout and it is encouraging to see more and more people taking an interest in what is happening in their community and the surrounding area. We were very pleased to have the following special guests in attendance to provide community updates; Alderman Ray Jones, Alderman Jim Stevenson, Constable Mark Beauregard (Calgary Police Services), Brenda Annala (Community & Neighbourhood Services, City of Calgary), and Marshall Stevenson (Publisher of the North of McKnight Community Connection). Our thanks to all of you for your time.
I would like to express my thanks to Janet Babcock and Karl Sikora for serving on the board during the last year, but unfortunately are not able to continue. For those of you returning for another year, your hard work and commitment is always appreciated and makes our community great.
Finally, I would like to welcome all of our new board members. We are very excited to have you on board and look forward to working with all of you.
Over the next year, we have many events planned and will continue to work hard to keep Coral Springs a vibrant and active community. We welcome all input and once again would like to invite all to attend any one of our upcoming meetings which take place on the third Thursday of every month at the Northeast Sportsplex.
