Why is everybody going nuts about this now? The City of Calgar has known about this new runway for 30 years, as well as the requirement for them to fund and build a tunnel before construction of the runway if they want to be able to keep a link to the NE. You should be getting mad at the City for not thinking ahead, especially when they had so mnay decades of advanced warning.

Having read "Kendra's" letter, those same observations apply to Pineridge and Rundle communitiea. One can as well observe that "Ray Jones" is the Alderman supposedly representing those communities as well.
Perhaps here I should stop.
Thanks for your excellent publication.Klaas.

I just wanted to respond to this article. I totally agree with the author. I too have lived in Falconridge for approx 7 years and have also watched it turn into a dump. People have no respect for other people’s property. I have dogs that use the washroom in the backyard; however, I have to constantly clean dog feces out of my front yard. One time a guy let his dog take a dump in my yard as I was watching and just walked away when I was motioning for him to clean up. Whenever I take my dogs for walks I bring bags! People throw garbage in my yard as well as steal from it. Recently I had bricks stolen from my garden and my neighbour had his birdbath stolen from his front yard. I took my niece to the park to play and had to spend 20 mins just cleaning the broken boards with nails and garbage off it before she could play. I understand people live different lifestyles and that’s fine but I am not proud to even tell people I live in Falconridge. It has become a dangerous, filthy dump and no one will ever get the true value of their property as long as it stays this way.

Airport.......
here we go again, a public organization that just doesn't give a damn about the public it is suppose to SERVE.. The arrogance of the airport authority should come as no surprise to anyone. I doubt any of the management or so-called planners live in the NE, so why would they care about those of us to live here because we are frequent travelers?

I'm very happy that the C-Train has now come closer to home. It makes such a huge difference, at least once I figure out which bus to take. I ran across to the new Saddle Ridge Safeway the other day to grab a Starbucks and a sandwich, then walked across the street to hop on the bus before heading downtown...I was there before I realized it! Now my only question is how long until it will show up in Saddle Ridge? I've heard some questions about it and thought there was more information to be found, but I can't find it anywhere.

It was wonderful to be able to wake up Saturday morning and head to Safeway for a Starbuck's. Service was quick, considering that the staff is still training, and the drinks were made correctly. Of course the best part was winning a free iPod as well! It's going to make a great stocking stuffer. I'm happy to see the store in the neighbourhood...finally.
