President’s Message – Taradale
As this is our first newsletter I would like to welcome you to the Community of Taradale.
As we ring in a new year, it begins another busy year for your currently elected board members, working to improve the area we all live in. We have a busy schedule for 2008, with new developments within and around our area, from new housing, schools, emergency service center, and the North East Center of Communities.

President’s Message – Coral Springs
Hello again everyone. It’s been a few months and for those of you who were not aware, our newsletter company closed its doors back in August leaving us a little off guard. However, we are excited for you to take a look at our new newsletter. We would be happy to hear your comments.
The last year was a busy one in Coral Springs. As you know we continued our “Paint the Fence” project along 68th Street. Thanks again to all of our amazing volunteers. We look forward to continuing this throughout 2008. Some new garbage cans have been placed along the walking path on 68th Street. Hopefully this will help to keep this area clean and looking nice.

From the Publisher
The new year has come, the holiday rush has passed and I’ve had some time to reflect on the last year and think about the year to come. So far, 2008 is off to an amazing start. One of my long time dreams is coming true. Almost four years ago I began publishing the community newsletter for the area of Saddle Ridge because I was looking for a way to give back to my community and additional projects for my portfolio. I had no clue just what a rewarding and amazing adventure it would be.

Why Invest in RRSP’s

Over the course of my career I’ve met a number of clients who absolutely refuse to put any money into a registered retirement savings plan. They are mainly small business clients who see the government as the “evil empire” and feel as if they’ve paid their fair share of taxes to CCRA. All of us feel over-taxed in Canada; we are one of the highest taxed societies in the modern world.

A Message from Ward 3 Alderman Jim Stevenson
Congratulations to the North of McKnight Community Connection team on the launch of this publication. As many of you know, about half of Ward 3 lies within the communities north of McKnight and east of the Deerfoot. Having one newsletter that covers all of these six communities is going to be a big help for Ward 5 Alderman Jones and myself in getting out the news that would be of interest to these residents. This newsletter will be a great vehicle to update you all on many matters of interest, including development plans, road construction projects and growth strategies.
